Rev. Jeremy Vaccaro

Senior Pastor

As the Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church it is my privilege to be the primary preacher, head of staff, and leader of leaders for the mission that God has given our church through Christ. The Lord called me and my family (wife: Diane; kids: Kate, Andrew, Rebekah Joy) to be part of what He is doing at FPC in the fall of 2012. What a joy it is to see and experience God’s gracious initiative at work in and through FPC.

Rev. Lana Roberts

Associate Pastor

I was called to join the pastoral staff of First Presbyterian Church in 2006. As the Associate Pastor, my responsibilities include leading our Deacons and Care ministries, supervising two of our office staff, and preaching and supporting others as needed. My husband Brian and I came to FPC in the early 1980's; we are deeply blessed that our daughter Kaylan also uses her gifts to serve God in this place.

Rev. Chris Popadich

Assistant Pastor of Community Growth

I am delighted to be at FPC serving in the ministry of Community Growth. My wife, Lisa, and I were called here from Pittsburgh, PA in December of 2016. I have a heart for teaching others to study God's Word, leadership development, and group discipleship. It is my delight to empower and equip the volunteers and staff in the areas of Men and Women ministry, WednesdayNights@FPC, College/Young Adult ministry, and the Adult Education hour on Sunday mornings.

Rosemary Avery

I have been a member of FPC along with my husband, Robert, since 1997. We were asked to join the staff as Lay Chaplains ministering to those who are ill or unable to attend church and residents of care facilities in 2008. Included in our responsibilities are hospital calls, emergency room visits and pre-surgery prayers. In other words, to be a visible presence of the church to members and their families in need. I remain in this ministry on a part-time basis and, since February 2013, Bob continues as a volunteer. We were married in 1961, have 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. We love the fellowship of FPC and pray God will allow us to minister here for many more years.

Meagan Bergem

Director of Junior High Ministries

God brought me to FPC as a Networker (Summer Staff) in 2010. After graduating from Taylor University in the spring of 2011, I obediently moved to Fresno as part of God's call on my life. I have served as a Jr. High advisor, Intern and Assistant Director. Now as the full time Director of Jr. High Ministry, I am blessed to lead a group of Youth Leaders, teach Bible studies, disciple students, and live out my faith boldly for God's enjoyment. I am currently Under Care of the EPC Presbytery as I pursue my Masters of Divinity degree at Fresno Pacific. My mission is to make disciples of Jesus who IGNITE their faith to pursue deeper relationship with Him and fully surrender their lives to worship God. I have found quite an extended family here at FPC and am grateful for their love as this Midwesterner becomes a Californian.

Geraud Brumfield

Director of College Ministries

Through a partnership with the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO), a college campus ministry organization, God allowed me to join FPC staff in August of 2017. Since 2012, I have worked with CCO loving college students at Clarion University in Clarion, Pennsylvania. Now, my family and I (which is actually just me- no wife, kids, or pets) live in Fresno reaching out to college students in the area (specifically Fresno State University, Fresno Pacific University, and Fresno City College). It brings me great joy to walk alongside college students as they begin to discern their calling and how God is working in them. It brings me great joy to work with FPC and CCO to see how God will be "transforming college students to transform the world."

Dr. Julie Carter

Director of Worship & Music

I was called to FPC in the fall of 1991 when I finished my doctoral studies. Since that time I have served the church through music and worship. Currently I am the Director of Worship and Music and I have the joy of leading worship, overseeing our worship services, directing the Chancel Choir, and coordinating our music ensembles, organist, worship bands, media teams, wedding coordinators, ushers, and drama team. I am blessed to have a wonderful husband, Michael, and sons Sean and Joshua.

Susan Glover

I was born, raised and educated in Fresno. I have attended First Pres since birth, and am a third generation FPC member. I started working at the church after my late husband Jon Glover suggested I apply during a vacancy in the Administration position in July of 1988. I retired from this part of my job at the end of 2014, keeping the visitation responsibilities on a part time basis. It is pure joy to care for the church family that helped nurture my spiritual growth. I am blessed beyond measure.

Torsten Grunberg

Director of Finance and Facilities

My family and I have been attending FPC for over 25 years. My wife Janelle and I have three children: Kollin, Kayla and Kyana. In 2007, I gladly accepted the offer to serve this church by becoming the new part-time bookkeeper. Through the years, my position has evolved and expanded into a full-time position to cover the area of financial oversight and facility management. I feel blessed to be part of this incredible staff and look forward to where the Lord is taking us.

Terry Jaurena

Mission/Outreach/Communications Director

I've been attending FPC since 1983 when I landed here to discover what it meant to live out my new, post-college commitment to follow Jesus. Since August of 1993, it's been my joy and privilege to serve in ministry with this body. I get to work with our mission and outreach ministry teams and projects. I also provide support and direction for our communication efforts. My husband, Steve, and I were married in this church. Several of our extended family members are part of this body as well. What Joy!

Margie Nunez

Children's Ministry Director

I came to FPC as a staff member in November of 2014 with 26 years of Christian education experience ranging from birth to high school. I am extremely grateful to be able to share my exuberance and passion for joining with families to love and disciple children (newborn to 6th grade) into a real and lasting faith in Jesus Christ, helping them grow to become mighty servants of His. My family consists of my beloved husband, Al, and two cherished children, David and Kristina. I’m also crazy about my daughter-in-law, Megan, and my son-in-law, Eric.

Beth Paz

Director of High School Ministries

I joined the staff of FPC in December of 2016. I bring with me experience in urban ministry and a passion for discipleship. My heart is that students will come to know and love Jesus and develop into leaders who both announce and demonstrate the fullness of the Gospel message. Currently, I’m pursuing a Masters of Divinity through Fuller Theological Seminary. My husband Ivan and I reside in the Jefferson neighborhood in downtown Fresno and live as missionaries and friends within a community of predominately Spanish-speaking neighbors. FPC has been our home church since our marriage in 2010.

Audrey Arce

Front Desk and Systems Administrator

I am extremely thankful for the way God opened the doors for me to use my gifting to bless the body of Christ here at FPC.  I am the rookie around here but not at all to The Lord or His ministry. I have been involved in ministry for many years and in various roles. I have the privilege of greeting all those who come into the office as well as assisting FPC staff with any needs that they may have. My role allows me to serve in all the different ministries. I am so grateful to use my talents and abliities to serve The Lord and His children through the gift of administration.

Diana Marr

Administrative Assistant to Worship & Christian Education

I have been attending FPC since August 2012. Though a California girl, born and bred (San Francisco/Petaluma), I actually moved to Fresno, with my family from Roanoke, VA.  (We landed in Roanoke after my husband, Paul, retired from the Army after 20 years of service.) I have two grown daughters, Shannon, who resides in NYC and Marykate Siqueiros who lives here in Fresno with her husband and daughter, Elizabeth. I feel truly blessed to be working at FPC with some of the best people around! I look forward to how the Lord is going to use me here at FPC.

Ataloa Woodin

Administrative Assistant to Pastoral Staff

It has been my privilege to support the pastoral staff of FPC since the spring of 2014.  My goal is to "make things happen" seamlessly, to enable the ministry that our God has given this church with one another, our community, and beyond.  I am loving working here, using God's gifts and the fruit of past ministry experience to support your pastors, Session, Deacons and others.  God has brought us together for a reason.  I'm excited!  On the home-front, I have a wonderful husband, Nevin, and two grown daughters, Alana and Debra (married to Caleb).  The Lord has blessed us mightily with love and joy at home and in ministry--a blessing I hope to pass on to and through this church every day.

Freddie Rodriguez

I stared working here at FPC in 1994. Since then I have grown to know the various needs of the church. It has been such a blessing to work alongside and know my brothers and sisters in Christ and the FPC staff. I am supported by my son Freddie Jr. and daughters Erica and Melissa.

Oscar Rodriguez

As a custodian here at FPC I have grown so much. My thanks to all of you who had a part in making it possible. God is using me and my family in serveral areas and guiding us through things we don't understand. Thank you for your prayers and support.
