Messiah Sing-Along

FPC Sanctuary

Sunday, November 30, 2014 - 3:00pm (ended)

Don't miss the 38th Annual Messiah Sing-along Sunday, November 30 at 3 pm in the Sanctuary.  There is no admission fee, music is available for sale at the door, and participants are asked to bring canned goods to benefit the needy.  Local singers are invited to sing the solos – so dust off your music and polish up those solos!

This event draws hundreds of people from our city and the central valley to sing or listen to George F. Handel’s glorious music. Composed in 1741 in a mere three weeks, the Messiah draws singers of all ages who want to kick off their Christmas season. The orchestra is comprised of many of the area’s most gifted players and is organized by Gaylene Jo, a local music teacher.  Dr. Walter Saul is the organist and Dr. Julie Carter conducts.  A soup and bread supper will follow in the Fellowship Hall.  It is has been lovingly coined the “Soup-Along!”  So come, bring family and friends and start a new tradition!

If you wish to donate to cover the costs of presenting the Messiah Sing-Along please send your donation to the church office, attention Dr. Julie Carter.  We will be pleased to include your name or business in the program if we receive the donation by November 17.

See you there for some great music and worship!
