"After this I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, robed in white, with palm branches in their hands. They cried out in a loud voice saying, 'Salvation belongs to our God who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.’” Revelation 7:9-10

Until that great day, followers of Christ have a collective job to do, so we love providing opportunities to explore what your part might be. Some go, some give, some pray, some invite, some send, others welcome goers home. Many do some combination of all of these throughout their life in Christ. We are eager to help you find your place in mission service here in Fresno or someplace between here and the ends of the earth!

Short Term Mission Experiences

We regularly organize short term mission trips, often to work alongside one of our Mission Partners. We also love to connect you with great organizations or other church teams. We would love to explore possibilities with you if you're interested in a few week or longer mission experience.

Local Invovlement Opportunities

There are many opportunities for service and ministry right here in Fresno.  We pass on information about opportunities regularly via our Sunday service bulletin or weeky e-mail. Some of these opportunities are for direct ministry and others to provide adminstrative or technical support.  Here are a few examples:

Neighbors aRe Us Monthly Dinners:  The 4th Thursday of each month (usually):  Volunteers set tables, prepare food, host tables (sit with guests), or help serve this family-style meal.  Attending families attending receive a grocery bag full of fresh baked items donated by Great Harvest Bakery to which fresh produce is added when those donations are received.  Other gifts seasonally to families have included books, school supplies, coats, clothing and linens.  The meal is followed by an optional Worship Service/Bible Study for adults with a program for elementary kids and care and games for the younger ones.

Fresno Rescue Mission: The first Sunday of each month, FPC folks provide the worship service in the evening. FPC member Gary Sells schedules our groups each month. Email Gary if you'd like to participate any month.

Pregnancy Care Center is regularly looking for volunteers and scheduling training.

Evangelicals for Social Action & Love, INC (In the Name of Christ) are also regularly looking for volunteers.

Child Evangelism Fellowship:  FPC members Noel and Carolyn Hildebran run a CEF club at the Lowell Elementary School near our church.

Every Neighborhood Partnership:  Connects churches with Elementary Schools for Saturday Sports and other activities.  There's probably a partnership near your neighborhood. There is one connected to the Lowell and Jefferson schools close to FPC.

Mission Partner Support Teams

It’s our goal that each of our 34 Mission Partners or Partner Families would have a support team that prays regularly for them, communicates periodically and serves to encourage these extended members of our body. And when we’ve reached that goal, we’d like to form similar support groups for the 19 organizations with which we also partner.
