Dear First Pres,

Christ is risen! He is risen, indeed!

It was a wonderful morning of worship on Sunday morning. The music was fantastic. The testimony was powerful. And the Risen Lord drew people to Himself. Hallelujah!

My only wish is that more of the people we invited could have been there to experience it. But in this, I trust the Lord. He is the One who changes hearts. He is the One who shows up for the unbelieving and makes Himself known. We share our faith. We pray. We invite. We love. And then we trust Him with the results.

So, if you invited someone who chose not to come (like me), please don't let that discourage you. Trust that the Lord will use your relationship and invitation in His time. And, keep inviting. Keep loving. Keep praying. Keep sharing your faith.

Christ is risen. That means that He is actively advancing the mission of the Father by the Spirit through the children of God. Christ is risen. That means that we who are in Christ are empowered by Him to live as His disciples and continue His mission to the world. Christ is risen. That means that His power and His life is available to us today. Christ is risen. That means that we can be certain that He is coming again to bring His Kingdom in fullness on earth as it is in heaven. Christ is risen! So, as Paul says in his letter to the Galatians, "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me" (Gal. 2:20).

May each of us live in the reality of His resurrection power today.

Blessings,
Jeremy

P.S. This week's Scripture reading is Judges 8:1 - 10:5. I encourage you to read it before Sunday.
