Dear First Pres,

This past Sunday we honored Susan Glover for her 26 years of faithful and effective service. She is retiring from her role as Business Manager, but will continue in a part-time capacity as one of our chaplains. Thanks so much for the many of you who were able to personally offer your gratitude & congratulations
to Susan during our education hour celebration. If you weren't there, I encourage you to send a note or card to Susan to express your thanks.

Today, it is my privilege to announce that Torsten Grunberg, our current Finance Manager, will start on January 1 as our Interim Facilities and Finance Manager. Torsten has been an important part of the staff for several years, growing in his responsibility and influence.  I'm excited for him to take on these new responsibilities. The interim period will last six months and will serve as an opportunity for all of us to test out this new structure and plan. Congratulations and thanks to Torsten!

Have you handed out your Christmas Eve invitation? If you have, send me an email with the names of folks you have invited.  I'll be praying for them as I prepare my message.  If you haven't, please be praying that God will give you the opportunity to do so. Then, keep your eyes open, because I believe that God will answer your prayer. Click here  for details about our Christmas Eve services.

Finally, when was the last time you read Habakkuk?  He's known as one of the Minor Prophets in the Bible, but his message is of major importance. He asked, some 2,600 years ago, one of the most important questions for our day: why does God allow evil in the world? This Sunday we'll be examining his prophetic words together as we continue in the Joy To The World sermon series. I hope to see you then.

Blessings,
