Dear First Pres,

How has your work been this week? I hope you have been thinking about your work as part of God's epic story of redemption and restoration. Remember, your work (paid or unpaid) is part of God's call on your life to live everyday life with Gospel intentionality. I'm praying you are working this week with all your heart with a great certainty of your identity in Christ. I'm praying that you are showing others the character of Christ in the way that you work, and that you're helping to create environments that demonstrate the Kingdom of God.

I want to recommend a couple of great resources to you if you are interested in learning more about God's intentions for work. Pastor Tim Keller has partnered with business woman, Katherine Leary Alsdorf to write a great book called "Every Good Endeavor: Connecting Your Work to God's Work."  I think it is a wonderful book for every Christian to read; please consider this a hearty recommendation for you to read it.  Also, Dr. Randy White gave me a excellent recommendation that I am passing on to you.  The book is called "Kingdom Calling: Vocational Stewardship for the Common Good" and is written by Amy L. Sherman.  I hope you will consider one or both of these books. Since most of us spend most of our time working, it seems like a worthy investment for us to consider how our work connects with God's plan and story.

May each of us work right today for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done.

Blessings
