Dear First Pres,

Ready, set, go! It's time for us to launch our summer schedule this Sunday. Worship starts at 9:30 ... for everyone. That means there may be some people you don't recognize sitting in the area you normally sit (how cool is that?!). When that happens, I trust that you'll be quick to greet them warmly and introduce yourself. The primary goal of our schedule change this summer is to build connection and unity in our congregation. You can help fulfill that goal by (1) prioritizing worship attendance this summer; (2) practicing hospitality with one another; and (3) participating in the Connect Time after worship.
This Sunday's Connect Time is our summer kick-off potluck brunch starting immediately after worship. Be sure to check out the details below for potluck assignments. Plus, there will be a special gift for dad's after worship (happy Father's Day).
Finally, before worship starts, there are also a few opportunities for you to connect and grow. Starting at 8:30 in the Commons will be a Bible study class on Acts led by our cadre of retired pastors. And, starting at 8:45 in the Hub will be a prayer gathering led by our Prayer Ministry leaders.
It's going to be a great summer for connecting and growing with each other ... in other words, for engaging together in Christ's work of making disciples for the redeeming transformation of our city and world. I pray, whenever you can, that you'll dive right in.

Blessings,
Jeremy

P.S.  I start a new sermon series this Sunday, The Gospel According to Ruth.
