Dear First Pres,

Congratulations! You were part of a very successful launch to our 2018 Summer Schedule for Sunday mornings. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. We had a great worship service at 8:30 (our Scripture reader was a precious highlight for me). Then, from 9:35 (or so) to 10:10 we had our very first Connect Time. There was food and coffee in the Fellowship Hall, games on the Patio, a world map on the lawn, and a special "Get Plugged In" table on the lawn with all kinds of information about to get more connected or involved in Mission Ministries at FPC. Oh, and we even had live percussion keep us in rhythm. But more importantly, there were congregants in every one of those places who were connecting. I loved it! Then we started our second service at 10:15. I loved our Scripture reader in that service too, but another highlight was the opportunity to honor Koby Johns for his service to our church as a lead worshipper for the last twelve years (thanks Koby).
So, if you weren't able to be here on Sunday, I hope you will be here this coming week for Father's Day. And, I hope all y'all will be present for our Connect Time. This week, in particular, you can learn more about getting involved in our Worship Bands at our special "Get Plugged In" table on the lawn.
Finally, a special thanks to those of you who filled out the "Get Plugged In" bulletin insert. If you missed it, or forgot, don't worry. It will be in the bulletin again this Sunday. And it is full of real needs for people in our congregation to serve in the mission and ministry of our congregation. I hope everyone will prayerfully consider taking a step toward a deeper engagement in our church's purpose to engage together in Christ's work of making disciples for the redeeming transformation of our city and world. That's what the "Get Plugged In" insert is all about.
See you Sunday.

Blessings,

Jeremy
