Hello! I have been blessed with the wonderful opportunity to work alongside Meagan Bergem as the High School Ministry Assistant, and I feel like you should get to know me a little bit now that I am working at FPC.

I was born on October 8, 1998 here in Fresno to John and Susie Hancock. I have two younger sisters, Jillian and Katie. Jillian is a sophomore at Fresno City College and Katie is a senior at Bullard High School. (Go Knights!) I was blessed to be born into a Christian church-going family who had it on their hearts to raise me with Biblical standards. I credit where I am in my faith to my family. They were the ones who provided a healthy, Christ-centered context for me to grow in my relationship with Jesus.

A few things I love... Anything involving art of any medium, from painting to scale models, to movies and music! Art is something that I love to create and also enjoy. I was in the Boy Scouts for six years and earned my Eagle Scout rank. During that time I invested a lot into camping, hiking, biking, shooting, fishing, pioneering, and camp cooking. The outdoors is truly one of my favorite places to be, especially Kings Canyon!

I have finished two years at Fresno City College and plan on attending Fresno State next school year. I am currently taking this year off from school because I am living in the Pink House (Yeah! The one in your parking lot). God is showing me so many things about biblical community, leadership, and community development through my time at the Pink House so far. My housemates and leaders have created a wonderful community and every day comes with its unique sets of challenges, lessons, and blessings.

FPC is my home church. 12 years ago my family moved to FPC from EV Free, now called the Bridge. The community here has helped shape me into who I am today. From Awana Cubbies to CCO college ministry you have all been one huge family to me. Even in the hard times when my father was away on deployment, he was in the Army for 20 years, you all stood by me and my family with overwhelming support. The youth ministry here is a wonderful program and I am grateful for my experience in Rooted and I am excited to give back to it.

I will bring this to a close with a genuine thank you to the FPC youth staff for having such a great impact not only on me but my friends and the students after me. Please feel free to stop me and say hello next time you see me around at Church. You can't miss me, I’m the tall red-head!
