At Home in the Heart of the City

For over 130 years First Presbyterian Church has called Downtown Fresno it's home. As the population spread out far and wide, our congregation continually renewed its commitment to stay located in the heart of the city. Why? Probably for some of the same reasons you chose to live here, too. We believe the diversity and vibrancy of this community reflect God’s Kingdom, and we want to participate in the work He is doing here. We hope you will join us.

Out of love for one another and our community, we're gathering only virtually for worship services. Join us @ 10am Sundays for First Pres Live via YouTube. We live stream our service at that time. It and previous services are available anytime on the YouTube Channel or on the Resource/Sermons page of our website.

Keep exploring to meet our staff, check out upcoming events, look for ways to serve our community, meet our lay leadership, or peak into other ministry areas. We've outlined a path to reopening at various levels. You'll find that on this Being The Church in the Midst of Covid-19 page

We'd love to meet you, at least virtually for now. Please contact Terry Jaurena or complete this connect form

These are unique times for our community. Is there something we can pray about with or for you? It would be our privilege to do so. Our Need Prayer page provides a couple of ways to contact our prayer team or staff.

This summer lots of us are gathering in prayer groups using a Prayer Guide that follows the sermon theme each week. You can find each week's Be With Me prayer guide on our News & Updates page. You would be more than welcome to join one of our prayer groups. Get all that information on this Summer Prayer Project page

Thanks for stopping by!
