Rooted High School Ministry

WELCOME to ROOTED - Where high school students experience loving community and grow deeply rooted in a relationship with Jesus, in order to bear Gospel fruitfulness for a lifetime.

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7

Our Philosophy

Rooted youth group welcomes you to join us at any event or activity! Our team exists to come alongside high schoolers and provide a safe space for their development in a positive community. We focus on building a fun and safe community in which to dive into Bible Study and its practical application to our lives (including diving into the hard stuff!), service and love for others, and moving our whole lives towards alignment with the heart of God. Our prayer is for every student to feel God’s love and find a place to belong at Rooted!

Our H-3 discipleship strategy consistently asks students to apply biblical teaching to their whole life.

Head- what truth did I discover?
Heart- what attitude needs adjustment?
Hands- what action will I take?

Parent Information

Equipping and supporting High School parents is important to us. We know that parents are the primary influence on their youth and we are here to partner with you! Monthly newsletters are sent out to encourage parents, and inform them of upcoming events and activities.

We invite you to tangibly support our ministry (food/host/pray/drive) once a semester for a more effective ministry!

Sunday Mornings

D-groups are still meeting, but they are in a format and at a specific time that each group decides is best. Therefore Ashley & Lisa are leading the Freshman girls. Sarah, Emily, Bre & Bekah are leading Sophmore and Junior girls. Wendi and Alisa are leading the Senior girls. Scott & Bert are leading Freshman and Sophmore group. While Nate & JR are leading Junior and Seniors. They will specifically reach out to each of your teens to make sure they are invited to their D-group meeting. If you are new with us or do not know your teens D-group, email Meagan and she will be happy to connect you.

Rooted D-Groups (Discipleship Group) are a small group of 8-10 students that meets weekly on Sunday morning. Every student who visits or attends our ministry are placed in an (inter-class, same gender) D-group, led by a Youth leader. These groups are designed for students to have deeper relationships within the youth group, and cultivate a space that invites belonging, sharing, prayer, accountability and deeper relationship with God. The goal is to create a passion for Jesus in the students beyond casual participation and invite them to actively share Christ’s love and redemption with others. We hope to equip them with the tools to succeed and grow into rooted Christ followers.

Sunday Nights

Our Sunday nights will be a hybrid offering to be able to reach out to the families that are and are not comfortable with having their students gather in person.

We will have a video of the lesson uploaded around 5pm on our instagram. As well as a Zoom call based breakout session for students that wish to further the conversation about what they watched, read, and heard that evening.

In person we will be meeting in the Underground (Rooted room) at 6:30PM-8PM for the lesson.  We ask that all students please wear a mask and practice safe social distancing from one another.
