Purpose

Hire college-aged students for the transformation of their lives by exploring God’s call to Christ-like leadership through community, prayer, studying Scripture and dynamic learning experiences in the Christian Education department.

Primary Duties

  • Plan, attend and implement Wednesday evening Bible Studies with Supervisor and adult volunteers. 
  • Connect and build relationships with students outside of regularly scheduled programming.
  • Participate in corporate prayer time and all Staff Meetings bi-weekly on Wednesday mornings.
  • Participate in weekly Thursday morning book study with peers and Supervisors.
  • Plan and implement various ministry events with the Supervisor.
  • Create postcards, flyers, and registration for events.

Knowledge and Experience

  • A faith commitment to Christ that is evident.
  • This opportunity is designed for post-high school applicants (graduated high school last year and current college students) who desire to serve and teach in a church environment.
  • Have a basic understanding of Scripture and an ability to teach age appropriate Bible lessons.
  • A desire to live a life of holiness. Striving for honesty, purity, and integrity in every area of life.
  • Respect for the decisions of the Supervisors, church staff, and Session elders.

Physical Requirements

  • Be prepared to participate in activities that may have some physical demands such as swimming, hiking, bike riding and other various summer activities.
