Hi! I was recently hired onto the staff at First Presbyterian Church, Fresno, as the Junior High School Youth Ministry Assistant. I have been blessed with this opportunity to work alongside Meagan Bergem and JR Hancock as we develop youth programs for the students here at FPC. Here’s a little bit about me!

I grew up here in Fresno and have been attending FPC with my family for as long as I can remember. I was raised in a Christian home that encouraged and supported my faith from the very beginning. My faith truly became my own in seventh grade and grew throughout junior high and high school thanks to the youth leaders at FPC. I have two brothers, Adam and James. You may have seen James running around on Sunday nights at the high school youth group, Rooted.

I am currently a student at Fresno State studying political science with a minor in Spanish. In the future, I hope to find a job in international relations or foreign affairs. I am also a member of the Smittcamp Family Honors College and have enjoyed the community that the college has provided me at such a large university. I have also found a Christian community through Smittcamp, as several students lead a Monday night Bible study during the school year!

Some of my interests outside of school include hiking, backpacking, swing dancing, and skiing. I love to get outside and find that it’s a great way to talk to God when I’m in His creation. I’m also a huge fan of coffee shops, so you will probably see me in one of the many around town.

I’m excited to step into this role here at FPC and contribute to the Lord’s mission in the same way that the youth leaders at FPC contributed to my faith journey. Please stop me at church or on Wednesday nights and say hi!
