   "Chainsaws" and "powerful worship" ... these were just a few of the highlights I heard from my own kids about this year's Jr. High (Ignite) and High School (Rooted) Spring Break experiences. This Sunday we'll all have a chance to hear about what God did during Spring Break in and through our youth.

     I hope you heard my heart on Sunday when I encouraged everyone to work on memorizing Matthew 6:5-15. I really do believe that it is one way we can walk in unity as a congregation during this Lenten season. In my own household, memorizing these verses has already proven to be a positive way of gathering us around the discipline of Scripture memorization. I believe the same can happen in our congregation as a whole.

   First, let's give thanks to God today for the rain He has sent our way. Thank you, Lord! And, with thanksgiving, please join me in asking God to give lots and lots of snow, so that our Valley might get the water it needs in the months ahead.

   Second, there are two important church conferences coming up this month that may sneak past you if you're not paying attention.
