It was God’s gift and a joy to teach at WednesdayNights@FPC this Fall. What grand adventures with Christ are in store for the students as well as the privilege of teaching these precious ones!
The first and second graders loved the Bible story dramas, the games and our small group Bible Study. Before we departed at 8:00 each Wednesday night, we would all exclaim how much we would miss one another until the next Wednesday.
In the midst of seeing God at work came a young boy with strengths and energy as well as challenges. Building trust and love came slowly. Above all we communicated that he was loved and always welcome in the group. As I prayed for him I asked that God would mold his heart to be closer to Jesus. I also asked God to mold me, as well. After a time the young boy sought a seat much closer and smiles of JOY shaped his face.
This young boy gradually grew. I also grew with him. It is to God’s glory!
God is not finished with either one of us yet. Of this I am most grateful.
