Steve & I didn't do ALL of the activities on the Advent Conspiracy Activity Calendar. But we sure enjoyed a drive down Huntington Boulevard looking for all the things on the Photo Scavenger Hunt list. We combined things in our home with things from our drive to complete the entire list. I'm sharing posts and comments from a few others. Enjoy!

Charity Whitney shared a photo of their calendar. Notice the multi-starred activity: "Bring cookies or a meal to a neighbor." Apparently, the Whitneys didn't wait until the 21st to get started on this one. Almost 2 years old Patience, who is a newly Naomi's big sister, enjoys the whole process. She calls bringing cookies "gifts to neighbors." This is priceless!

Walter & Daphne Saul have been all in and regularly posting their #FPCAdvent activities. Here's their rewrite of "Twas theNight Before Christmas" (Activity for Dec. 10) making it about their family before Christmas. So creative!

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the town, All the screens were recharging, so they would not go down. The families were planning to gather on Zoom, So they could avoid being in the same room. Walter, Daphne, and others had played and sung at Christmas Eve services for old and young. Pastor Jeremy had preached at 5 and at 7, And all said the worship time sent them up to heaven. The parking lot service, held Christmas Eve at 5 made all of the worshippers feel quite alive. At 7 PM those who worshipped online said that their worship was cozy and fine. The Sauls were now where they sipped their hot tea, relaxed and quiet, near their Christmas tree. They reflected and rested and considered that night, when up in the heavens there shone a great light,  and an angel told outdoor shepherds, “Don’t fear! The Savior has come, and He is quite near!” You see, Christmas is not cancelled — we can still find joy  as we think about Jesus, that sweet baby boy. So, Christmas Day can still be joyful and bright! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

The foggy night threatened the 4th Advent Sunday's special activity Follow the Star. But apparently about 30 or so of you braved the fog and found your way to the search light in the Sterling's side lot. Here's a Facebook comment from a family new to our fellowship:

"It was soooooo foggy. We tried to spot the searchlight from Shaw and Fruit, but had to complete the clues instead to find them. The cinnamon hot chocolate and cookies were delicious!!!"

We hope you've found ways both fun and meaningful to prepare your hearts and minds to really celebrate Christmas and all that it means.

Merry Christmas!
