Intro by Jessica Mast-Fost

Thank you from the Pink House for your hospitality on Sunday, September 15! It was great to see you all and introduce our students to a whole congregation who is praying for them. The Pink House students are one month in to a great ten-month adventure and would love to stay connected with you. If you didn't get a chance to stop by our table but would like to stay connected through sharing a meal, becoming a mentor, or receiving our email newsletter, contact Jessica Mast-Foss or Sarah Micu, co-directors.
The Pink House is located in the northwest corner of FPC's parking lot and is a program put on by Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. Their values are to develop leaders, to grow in understanding and practice of biblical community, and to engage in ministry with children and families in Fresno’s urban neighborhoods. Residents have multi-denominational affiliations and during their time at the Pink House will serve in various downtown ministries including churches, agencies, non-profits and even local government. Visit their website for more information.
These are the 2019-20 residents that will be living and serving in our community for ten months, from August to June. Please join us in praying for them!

Gabriel Holguin
Gabriel is a loan underwriter for a non-profit small business lender in downtown Fresno. He joined the Pink House program as a way to grow in his faith and learn how to better serve the people in his community. When he is not working or participating in the Pink House program, he often spends his time playing soccer, hiking with friends, and taking long road trips.

Claire Evans
Claire was born and raised in Fresno, and attended Fresno City College, and is currently taking a gap year while in the Pink House then will resume her studies at Fresno State. She volunteers for Live Again Fresno, which is a nonprofit organization serving the community at Parkway Drive. She looks forward to learning more about her city and the ways she can be the best neighbor to those around her. She wants to dive deep into what God has for her personally, but also for her city.

Kyle McIntosh
Kyle grew up in Fresno and is currently in the teaching credential program at Fresno State. He joined the Pink House to grow in his understanding of how God is working in the city and is excited to be serving at The Fresno Rescue Mission this upcoming year. He enjoys driving, eating, and playing the piano.

Lauren (Ren) Leach
Ren is from Clovis and is currently working towards her Bachelors in English with an Emphasis in Professional Writing from Grand Canyon University. She is volunteering with InterVarsity at Fresno City College and is excited for her year at the Pink House. She is eager to learn more about her neighboring town and to serve those around her.

John Robert (JR) Hancock
JR grew up in Fresno and is currently taking a gap year from his studies of photography at Fresno City College. He is a member of FPC Fresno and is interning at Faith in the Valley. He decided to commit to the Pink House because of its connection with First Pres. and the people who have come out of it and are involved with the program.

Angela (Angie) Conde
Angie was born and raised in Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles and relocated to Kerman with her family in 2010. After completing her AA in Liberal Arts from Fresno City College, she transferred to Chico State where she recently graduated with her BA in Social Sciences specializing in Sociology and Multicultural & Gender Studies. He looks forward to seeing what he can learn from his community and God throughout these next 10 months to learn how to better serve in God's Kingdom.
